Alexandria Brown Bag
March 17, 2016 @ 11:30 am - 1:30 pm
FreeHow are you connecting with the future of your association? The pressure to reach young members is high and the best practices aren’t obvious. The upcoming generations are a diverse group who embrace technology, communicate in many mediums, and value different content and services from their associations. At the March 17 Alexandria Brown Bag, Amalea Híjar will share her proven strategies to recruit, retain, and engage these members. Drawing on her experience focusing on this member segment for the American College of Cardiology over the past five years,
Amalea’s presentation will be full of case studies of what’s worked and what hasn’t. Come hear how she:
– Built a member-driven video blog that is so successful it crashed ACC’s website within hours of its launch
– Increased the percentage of cardiologists completing their training who applied for ACC fellow level membership from one to 29%
– Overhauled the application and recruitment process to secure 98% of eligible cardiologists in training as ACC members
Amalea hopes this will be an interactive discussion, so please come prepared to share your successes and failures as well as your questions.
